We handle many cases involving construction accidents. That is accidents that involve construction workers at construction sites. The labor law of the state of New York provides special protections for construction workers, recognizing the hazardous nature of the work that they do. For instance, the law provides that if a worker falls from a height, such as from a ladder, or a scaffold, or if some object falls on that worker, regardless of any fault that the worker may have had in contributing to that accident, that worker is entitled to recover for those injuries. In addition, if there's any violation of the Industrial Code or any of the safety provisions in the Industrial Code, the law provides for recovery for that worker.
These accidents can cause not only serious injuries but can devastate the lives of the worker and his family who is unable to work. As a result of these injuries, the lost earnings on these cases can be very substantial and, of course, the pain and suffering from these injuries can be very substantial. So if you're injured in a construction accident, please give us a call.
